There are many types of tomatoes that you can use, but I am going to make a suggestion. Because of the mustard greens and their naturally bold flavor, cherry tomatoes are perfect. They are sweet and loaded with fresh juice that makes the dish work really well together.

Ingredients

  • 3 Tomatoes small
  • 1 cup Mustard Greens
  • 2 Lettuce Leaves big
  • 5 Walnuts
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil Organic Extra Virgin
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 pinch Black pepper Black pepper for taste
  • 1 tbs Dressing (optional)



Instructions

  • Wash and dry mustard greens, lettuce and tomatoes;


  • Cut greens in one-inch pieces and cut tomatoes in quarters
    (depending upon which tomatoes you chose). Put all ingredients in a large bowl
    and add extra virgin olive oil, walnuts, salt and pepper. Mix everything
    together;


  • Mayonnaise dressing is best for greens salad (If you're not a
    vegan). Mix 1 chicken egg with 1/2 cup olive oil in a blender adding 1 teaspoon
    of salt and 1 tsp of sugar. Keep the sauce for no more than 2 days in the
    fridge.






Notes

I do not use dressing with this salad because the mustard greens pack a lot of taste. But if you like to add a creamy texture to your salad, a dressing would work well here! Also, try out different lettuce that you like. Iceberg, romaine and butter lettuce are all good options.
